Project Pan April 2018: Check-In #2

Well, I seem to be panning everything except my actual makeup.

I dug up all of my old nail care, bath gear, and essential oils that I have been hoarding and have started using them again. It’s really satisfying knowing that I’ve completely used these up and that they’re not going to waste, especially some of the older products like the Essie nailcare I bought two summers ago.

Some notes:

  • Dr. Teal’s is bae. My mom buys their bath salts in bulk and I’ve begun to love them too.
  • The Tatcha Water Gel moisturizer was something I didn’t really like at first, but it grew on me. I really don’t have any problems with it, but I think I prefer the Tatcha Water Cream. I really did enjoy the Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask but have yet to repurchase because it’s hella expensive and I still have plenty of other masks/mask samples to utilize first.
  • I will no longer be purchasing Young Living Oils. Northern Lights Black Spruce used to be my absolute favourite, but after discovering that YL harms endangered species, I’m done. Tree Scents by Saje is a really similar blend so I’ll be purchasing that instead.

I’m learning that it takes eons to get through powder products. I almost wish that makeup companies sold powder products in smaller portions because I feel like even if I do use them every day or so, they still get old and crusty before I’m fully able to use most of the compact/palette up. Travel sizes are a godsend, but they don’t have a whole lot of variety! Anyways, all of these will soon be hitting the recycling bin.
