My Summer Reading Mountain

This pile of 35 books plus a number of audiobooks and ebooks is what I plan on reading this summer! This is quite an intimidating goal for someone who has essentially hated reading since finishing their English degree, but I’m determined to find some joy again in what used to be my most enjoyable hobby. These are all of the unread books I pulled from my bookshelf; some are as recently purchased as the end of April at the Saskatchewan Book Awards, and some of them I’ve had for over a year since my second-last trip to Toronto. I realize that my book collecting has become excessive, so I’ve put a pause on all book purchasing until I can get through the majority of these titles. Of course I won’t force myself to read books that I no longer find interesting, but I’m going to give each of them a solid chance and (hopefully) do a brief, casual review of them on my blog.
